Anyone have those Formula Series boxes made for Cohiba robusto, Partagas SD4, or the Monte #2? Are they worth the extra price? How good do they really look and feel? I did a quick search here and found nothing on this subject. Thanks, Steve

they are just the standard regular production cigars, in fancy boxes... not a bad deal if you are into limited collector packaging, but the cigars are no different.

Don't waste your hard earned money Steve. The sticks are the same old regular production sticks.

Remind you of the Art Edition VR Famoso by Angel Ramirez? Are these commanding huge dollars over regular Famosos?
Just another schtick to bilk extra $$$.

Those boxes look amazing, I would love to have any of them. I have been drooling over them since AZ started his split a month or two ago....

Thanks Shane, the boxes look pretty nice for $15, wanted first hand thoughts.

If anyone wants to pick up a box but is not as easily impressed as me by packaging lol, I would be willing to pay the difference to grab one of them!

I'd like to get the Partagas one. I'm holding off until after the New Year's though when hopefully the delivery issue cools off.

I got a few boxes of each... even did a split on one of each; drew names for the boxes and sent them out!

For an extra 15 bucks or whatever... the boxes are super nice. ONE of the Cohiba boxes still smelled like varnish...... so I took the cigars out of that one for aging...... but all 3 are really nice collectors pieces (and I'm sure that varnish will dry quickly).

Cigars, themselves, were just transplanted in from other boxes and a little sticker was included that gave the factory and date codes of the boxes they came from... all were from 09.

Hope that's what you were looking for with your bump?

Cheers! :cbig:

Jim I know you have been itching to sell me either the Party or Monte box! :devilhead

I have a Partagas box (thanks, sir). It looks awesome. Red. Partagas series D 4 written in gold. Lacquer finish is sweet. For $15 bucks it's worth it.
