  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Most correct good sir. And maybe, if you must hike up your skirt :)wink:), a solitary (and small) ice cube, or a little bit of distilled water.

This is going way off topic, but one of my neighbors had a hilarious story about just such a desecration. He had been hanging out with some friends when they decided they all wanted Scotch and waters. They sent my hapless neighbor to make them. Needless to say, a third of a glass of scotch and 2 thirds of a glass of water mixed together was not what they really had in mind.

There is no shortage of internet or B&M/online retailers out there. Those are some of the biggies and you shouldn't have any issues there. Just be careful with CBid. :eyebrow:
Not to high jack the thread, but I have got 80-90% of my cigars from CBid with out issue. What kind of problems have you seen?

rabbgp, I can't speak for jw, but I assumed he meant cbid can be addictive. That's the biggest complaint I've heard so far ( and my coolidor is filled from them).

LOL, no harm no foul there bball. If they can't tell the difference, why waste the good stuff? That's like offering someone some George T. Stagg and having them promptly dump it in Coke.
Ha at my first herf, Jwintosh, CWS, Ventura Mike, and a couple others were hanging out and a buddy of mine came over with a bottle of Glenlivet 12 yr. The wife brought us all a glass with a couple of cubes in it and MY buddy promptly pulled oout a bottle of coke and dumped it over his scotch. We all made fun, but I guess it was his scotch, so do what you want . I still make fun of him.

And yeah, I meant CBid can be addictive.

ok, i just got my "free" cigars from CVM. i see why they're free now.

I got an old fashioned as someone said i would.

Also got 2 bandless smokes, robusto size

The Repeater, a Honduran of some sort

A Cuban Sandwich

And last but not least...A Dominico, whatever that is.

Needless to say i'll be tryind these out with one eyebrow raised in speculation.

On a brighter note, i found that CVM package lying on my desk after i had taken a brief walk outside. There was another package lying next to it. it was from CI (cbid). i won a 5er of the excalibur limited reserve noblis (robustos) These are the ones with the silver band. I definitley overpaid for them as i forgot to hit the automatic bid button so i immediatley wnet to my hgihest bid amount, but i still got em for something like 3.50 a piece. Curious to try these out once they recover from the journey.

And like others have said, that place is worse than crack. Inevitably, everytime i go on there i end up bidding on something i surely dont' need.

This reminds me of cigargold's nickel sampler. That is how I got into cigar smoking. 5 cigars for 5 cents each plus shipping, was enough to get me a taste of a cigar that wasn't machine made.

I wonder if I got the same sampler now and smoked them if any would be decent.
