  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I just visited smokingstogie.com for the first time. I showed the it to a guy I work with who does photography on the side. He is very impressed with those pictures. They are quite amazing.

Tatuaje Pork Chop review....

Pairing:Just a plain old Heineken

Company: None, just a beer and a good book.

Pre-light up, the stick looks really nice with the wrapped foot and has a firm feel to it.

Upon lighting the stick I had an instant kick of spice and pepper. Very intense flavor that went right up my nose. A very nice flavor indeed. Immediately the draw was very smooth and easy. Not too much smoke. After a few puffs the spice subsided but did not disappear.

The burn was very even and I only touched up once. After a while (about a third to half of the way in) I noticed a leather and cream flavor with a slight hint of cocoa/chocolate. The flavor was very earthy and reminded me of peanut shells (used to live on a farm).

The spicy pepper flavor returned towards the end. The stick did not get hot until right near the end where I encountered a little bitterness but nothing unpleasant. The last third ended up being the creamiest and was a really good ending to a great cigar.

Perfect timing, my beer and great book were finished at the same time as the cigar. About 50 min. of smoking pleasure.

Thanks Brooks. Great cigar.

nice des!
i have to agree. this was the first tat brown label, other than the rc, that i would use creamy as a descriptor. and i didn't expect it out of this stick. it is very good!

First off....thanks Brooks for being so kind and sending me this stick...not only did he send the stick but sent it priority mail no less...so here goes...

The stick is flawless as always with Tats...nice and smooth wrapper with a darker milk chocolate appearence. I clip the end with my catseye and take a dry draw...perfect amount of free flowing air. I ignite it and I get a hint of spice but also a sweetness...almost like a faint cinnamon...it has a slight creamy character to it as well...these flavors remain constant throughout the burn. The stick burns very well with a very slight wedge to the ash. Very nice stick indeed... I only wish it had lasted longer. :ccool:
