GASLAMP/DOWNTOWN San Diego

Well I have a conference in San Diego and I will be staying in the Gaslamp District arriving Sunday night and leaving Friday night. I have never been there before but I have heard about the good food and stops. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good Cigar Shops/Lounges in the area or would like to do a meet up one night. Haha figure one of these trips back I will finally be able to meet a BOTL, right now they are more like big foot though, always hear about them, yet to see one.

EDIT: Also if you guys have any good food recommendations for that Gaslamp District area. I will be getting off at about 4pm to 5pm each day.
EDIT AGAIN: I just saw the Cuban Cigar Factory and I was wondering if any one had been there and what their thoughts were.

Donovans steakhouse has some great philly cheesesteak and very good cocktails. I think happy hour is right around that time too there. They hand out samples and drink specials. A great shop to visit is in Old Town. Racine and Laramie Tobacconist. Little trolley ride there from Gaslamp. I love visiting SD.

I stumbled into Tabac today. Fine if you're into the Hookah thing but forget about finding a decent cigar. I was too lazy to search harder. Their coffee was good though and the girl behind the counter didn't mind that I smoked my own cigar inside.

Thanks for the tip on Racine and Laramie. I'll have to remember that.

Well thanks alot for the help so far. I think Ill check out the Cuban Cigar Factory, a few of the brewhouses and try to go to Racine and Laramie Tobacconist (San Diegos first cigar store).

There are some good places on 5th street that I go to when I am in San Diego....( have a condo there )...Cuban cigar factory and there's another one about a block north as well...the name escapes me for now.

R and L is not a lounge type cigar shop but they do have a few chairs. The cigar side of the shop is actually kind of small size wise but they do have a very good selection, best I've seen in SD. There are some nice looking B&M right in Gaslamp though. For a nice spot to enjoy a cigar that isn't B&M, I'd recommend the Sky Lounge that sits above the Marriott. Captain Hunt's at Seaport village is nice. Lots a shops and touristy stuff at the waters edge with a nice little cigar store in the middle. A couple of chairs outside. Remember this is San Diego. Weather is usually nice. I was disappointed in Racine and Laramie Ltd. Fun to see but that was about it.

That would be great! Basically from monday thru Friday I will be getting out from the conference at 4 to 5 and my plans were to smoke and eat and see what there is. So any night and time that works for you to meet up just let me know.
