  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

so ernesto perez-carrillo has left the general leaving la gloria and el credito behind. he wants to start a new cigar line with his adult kids. we don't discuss la gloria much here, but they've made some pretty good sticks in the past. what's the feeling of ernesto starting a new line in the current ecomonic climate?

Wouldn't you like to know?
I think that if he puts out cigars cigars as good the new artesan series he will do fine. I really like to think that if Pete our Dion had started up now they would still do well. I agree that the LGC cigars get overlooked here but put out somw great cigars. I thibk there will always be room for more great cigars.

Ernesto makes some very good cigars. Take him out of the corporate environment and back on his own to create and I am excited.

I am actually quite excited now that he has departed from General.

If he can control everything his way - I am sure he will come out with some great cigars.

I agree. I have never been a fan of the LGC's and am very curious what he will come up with.

it's been so long since his cigars haven't tasted like other General cigars...

I hope he didn't capture lightning in a bottle and can create another great cigar! Or just the old LGC from da Boom...

exactly. i remember back in the day when finding an lgc was like finding a tatuaje now. they had a great rep and were htf. there's no way a mass produced cigar can maintain that small batch character. i hope he can now.

I'm really excited about boutique LGC's again. It was awesome going to his place on Calle Ocho and having a roller hand you one right off the table. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with next!
