  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

very nice choices you got there for your tools. I have the Jet bandsaw and love it, I use mine with a 1/4" blade for curves and such. but I also have a Laguna 16HD for resawing. check the Laguna site for the little 14" they have, it received excellent reviews.
I used to have the Delta 22-580 Lunchbox planer but I now have a 15" powermatic and never looked back.
the big planers might feel like overkill but they are worth it.
I really wish you good luck with it, thank god I am done buying tools and can stay focused on cigars:grin:

I thought about the Laguna 14", but it was about 300 more and when you add guides I was looking at an additional 300. While the powermatic actually comes with the guides and the one for Jet is only about $150 which is still less than the Powermatic. Plus I'm fairly new to woodworking and woud like to actually continue doing things once I buy my tools :stretchgr .

As for the Planer, I'm not set on one yet and will take what you said to mind. From the looks of it, I will have a few months the research until I make my purchase. I'll probably pick your mind a bit before I make a deecision. Thanks

awesome, can't wait until you can build your first cabinet humidor, huh??

the Laguna should have their ceramic guides, but not 100%sure, but if they do, you do not need carter guides. the jet however works great with them

And to make things even better, I got my wife to agree not to shop for cloths until the end of April. My Credit Card bill is 1/2 of what it has been.

Nice going Tex in getting that credit card bill down. I don't think I bought anything last month. At least my credit card is not on fire anymore.

Ok, I'd thought I'd give an update (only because I have done well). I have offically gone 2 months w/o buying anymore cigars.

Just so the new guys aren't scare, I have a cabinet humidor so I am not really hurting on my smokes. Just cutting back on the buying part.

Only 2 more months left and I'm going to buy something real nice. :smokingbo

Best Wishes pal, wish I had your control. I just plinked down a C-note on the March Madness event at my local B&M. Blind rating over 12 cigars with the chance at a few more in the next 30 days or so.
