  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Going to a steak, scotch and cigar dinner Saturday

Here is what I would do enjoy all the scotch but I like the Arbelour the most especially if it's the 14yo and bring along a PSP#2 that will compliment that scotch nicely! What kind of steak? Maybe a little espresso encrusted something or other or perhaps a nice manly cut of el PORTERHOUSE! Whatever you decide just make sure you take a breath and just have fun!

MMMMMM... I love that Ardbeg also but what I'm waiting to crack into is a bottle a good buddy got me for Christmas. Ardbeg Ugiedahl or whatever the hell it's called. Alfonso if you like that Ardbeg 10yo you should try the Laphroaig 10yo Cask Strength that shite is really GOOOOOOOOOOODA! On accident I finished all but 2 fingers worth of a bottle one night and it tasted so good ended up smoking an opus #2 in my buddies garage and when I got finished with that cigar HOLY CRAP I realized how flippin' drunk I was! Needless to say it wasn't one of my prettiest moments in life especially when I'm forking over the keys to the car. It's a goodun' buddy you should try ye:stretchgr

You'll love the uigeadail if you like laphroaig 10yo cask. I think the uigeadail is slightly less phenolic and salty than laphroaig, and maybe a touch sweeter or maybe more "malty" if you know what I mean.

I'm definitely looking forward to cracking open that bottle and I know exactly what you mean. It'll be my celebration after I lose another 20lbs or 50 I haven't decided.

Lagavulin 16 year old, that is nector of the gods!
Love the Laga sooooo damn good and still reasonably priced.

Just back- Drank the Glenlivet 15 yo and for me it was the best of the bunch. I thought I would like the Glenmorangie better, but it wasn't one of their mainstream ones. For cigars, I started with the CAO Carmeroon and then had the Trinidad later. Preferred the Trinidad by slight bit. In retrospect, I should not have worried about byo cigar, bc several people did so. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening- a catered party at a 4000sf high rise condo in Seattle with a band and all you could drink scotch. Very nice!!

I like the Rock Patels, and the Trinidad isn't that bad. I mean, its nowhere near as good as the cuban Trinidad and has a different flavor but they were better than I expected.
