  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'll have some tails and claws coming for this weekend. I want to grill them, but I've never done it before. Give me some recipes and advice, my fine brothers...

This meathod leaves the tail whole.
Pair of butchers scissors down the back of shell not bottom.
Open back and pull carefully to expose whole tail meat.
Lay meat back onto shell(leave very end of tail in shell)
Fresh cracked whole peppercorn to taste.
Paprika and light chili powder(light)
Drizzle mixture of butter and lemon juice.
Place tails w meat face up(empty tail on grill surface) 4-5 mins on med heat.
Carefully flip lobsters over (onto meat side) for 1 more min to finish.
As soon as they come off drizzle garlic butter sauce and fresh parsley and serve immediately. If the fixens arent done eat em any way. Earlier the better. Im no chef but for Fathers day everyone was fighting over them.
Hope this helps its just another way to cookem
Justin

it depends what type of lobster. i usually cook them like jolietfire said, minus the spices. baste it with drawn butter a couple times while cooking under a broiler. that's all it needs. also, remove the claw meat and stuff a few mushrooms. again, in the broiler with the butter. great GREAT appitezer with your chapagne! enjoy!!

Sounds like you gotten some good advice here.

This week I`ve had lobster boiled, steamed, grilled and broiled, but someone else has always been doing the cooking, so I`m no help at all:grin:

No pics - I was going to but I got busy getting everything done at the same time and forgot.

I didn't make it to the concert - gavve the tickets to the kid that bought the other set. I stayed home, watched a movie and had a T110. Better than that concert ever could have been!
