Uh well if you try to buy cigars on the local market I'm not sure what you would find.

I've seen RyJ Tubos being sold but I'm inclined to think that they are fakes. They were being sold for $5 each, which is well under what they should be, I mean isn't the black market supposed to be more expensive?

The merchant did not have them in any sort of humidor. With temperatures reaching well over 120 (in body armor add 20 degrees) I don't know what you would find if you opened up a tubo.

Most of the Soldiers buy from CI or other big online retailers. Cigars are actually the one guilty pleasure afforded here. We can't drink (the NA beer handed out in the chow hall doesn't count), porn is technically not allowed in theatre (the most abused rule out there btw), and there aren't many girls around. I read on fumo santo, a blog, that cigar sales are up in America due to troop demand.

Anyhow take care, this whole experience has made me appreciate just how beautiful and blessed America really is.
