Life doesn't come with any guarantees or that having kids will guarantee that life is better ..for some it brings heartache through no fault from the kids or the Parent. ..circumstances tend to bring problems nobody can fix.

So much good in this thread. Can not believe I am just now seeing it.
To me happiness is my son telling his mother he would rather spend Thanksgiving this year with me and my wife even though its her year.
This may seem hurtful for her but when I think of everything she has put us through I can not help but to feel like cloud 9.
