Check out Crescent City Cigars on Orleans Street. Armando is a really nice guy! Good selection too! Don Leoncio is good because they've got a bar!

I can't think of any right off, I recall there being a really nice shop I had stopped by on Canal St, but that was YEARS ago, and I forget the name...

There are a number of shops in town, also New Orleans Cigar Factory in the French Quarter on 415 Decatur St. They roll cigars on site and sell and smoke on site. http://www.cigarfactoryneworleans.com/dev/
Also found this in search for info. https://foursquare.com/top-places/new-orleans/best-places-cigars
It really depends on what part of the city you are staying in, There are quite a few cigar shops. Travel time is always a factor. Metairie has many shops also, (suburb). If you have any particular questions shoot me a message and I will try to answer them. I have lived in and around the city all of my life.

Im going to be there for about a week. Any shops or lounges I should check out?
First and foremost, Crescent City Cigars in the heart of the French Quarter on Orleans ave. Armando is a gem & tell him Russell sent you. Can't recommend this place enough. Great people and a bar next door to grab a drink before you make your selection.

Then there's Maya on Magazine st. Probably the best selection in the city in a gorgeous building, but no personality at all. Carries all the standard favorites though. Also, great food & drink to be had on that street. Do yourself a favor and go to Sucre' rt across the street from Maya to satisfy your sweet tooth & grab an Italian soda.

Finally, Habana Port in Metairie. Another great group of guys, the best selection outside of the city (10mins max), and they even have some aged stock if you ask about it. Truly great selection.
They're nerds about this stuff just like us.

Brother, I have an incredibly awesome work schedule and might be able to hook up if you want to hit a few spots and grab some really good food. Just shoot me a p.m.

I was there for a week and then was in Mississippi for a week! It was awesome! So many cigar lounges and you can smoke in restaurants as long as your outdoors. Never been able to experience that before. Went gator hunting, and the food was amazing. I've never experienced the south before and it was such an experience. I will be back. I love the city of New Orleans. However, they weren't too kind when I had my Seahawks jersey on haha.

In Mississippi I went to one of the coolest cigar lounges in Christian. Called the Cigars in the Pass. www.cigarsinthepass.com

Glad you had a great experience! We are different, usually people are amazed that you can walk around with adult beverages as long as they are in a plastic cup. Let us know when you plan to return and maybe we can meet!
