  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

During my college years I had the great experience to work with one of the best up and coming tobacconists in the industry: Russ Ouelette. Russ's tobaccos started off as experimental, but with his knowledge and perseverance he came up with some great blends in a very short time. I'm just wondering if anyone here has smoked any of his blends and what y'all think.

I like quite a few of them. Blackhouse, Magum Opus, Marble Kake & AJ's VAPer are my favorites (in that order). They age quite well too.

In re Larry's Blend, AJ's VaPer and Marble kake those are some of the original blends that were available only at the shop we worked at. I was around for the first Anny kake, and it was spectacular from the beginning. I only wish I got some of the first tinned Anny kake. :{ (mustache sad face).

Glad to know people are smoking these great blends from a tobacco master.

Haven't smoked any but I have been doing pipe research and I have heard great things about H&H from YouTube.

I'm currently smoking through a tin of Virginia Spice and I like it very much. I have a tin of Namaste waiting in the wings.

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...
Just a little bumpski to see if any other pipers want to chime in on this. I'm planning on purchasing some while pipesandcigars has 20% off sale this month.
At $14.40/8 oz tin that's only $1.80/oz!!!
I don't think I've seen prices even close to that anywhere else, not even in bulk. Hard to pass up!

Anniversary Kake is my favorite. Russ introduced me to pipe smoking and all the pipes I have I bought from him. Truly great guy, and an asset to the industry for sure.

Larry's Blend is my go to morning smoke. Anniversary Kake is one of my all time favorites.

Almost forgot to mention. The Missouri Meerschaum blends Russ put together are great too. As of now, American Patriot is my favorite of the four.
