  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

In the stifling subway tunnels, there was no air conditioning on three cars of the train Sayed Bukhari rode into Manhattan.

"People were crying," Bukhari said.

Geoffrie, were you weeping in the subway again?
But damn it's hot down here! Subway's running on a delayed schedule due to possible heat kinks on the tracks above ground.

Not good. That heat wave killed a lot of people on the west coast. I can't imagine adding more humidity and underground conditions

Life's tough in the outer boros.

My subway is the opposite. 130 degrees on the platform - 58 degrees in the subway cars.

Trying to be politically correct here but can I get some help - is Sayed Bukhari arabic for schmuck? So what, three cars are not air conditioned. Duh! Try walking into one of the other ten cars that ARE air conditioned!

Heat Index downtown Atlanta today is 134
Something is wrong with that thermometer or there in a car bro. weather.com says right now (heat of the day) Atlanta is 94 with 100 as heat index. Here in Beltsville, shows 99 with 106 as heat index. (Unofficially, Headbanger says probably over 150 in the car tho).

Its a thermometer at the bottom(street level) of the capital..
Got ya, direct sun don't count for actual correct temperature. The fking reporters in DC and Balto. do that shit all the time here. Gotta take in the shade man. Plus off street level radiates heat and feels hotter, duh. :jitb:

Placing a thermometer in direct sunlight is a way to get the reading to be incorrectly high is all they did. Even next to a large building and at street level with the index would not get to 134 without being in direct sunlight. That is what they do on TV when they show 115 on a football field. The F'in glass front thermometer faces the sun.
