That's great! Lots of San Diego love here! You guys ever go to liberty Tobacco? Once and awhile I take a brown bag and a smoke and hang out for a while!
LIberty is a great place to hang out....ever since 2007 I've gone there. Good places downtown at the Gas Lamp District, too. Racine is good enough if you don't mind the touristy stuff in Old Towne. Excalibur tends to get a bit expensive but it's a nice lounge as well but all things considered....LIberty Tobacco is my favorite as it's just 4 miles from me and after I have a cigar I run over to Super Sergios for a great Mexican Burrito....life well lived as they say.

I, personally, avoid Liberty. When I was first starting out with cigars, I had a bad experience with the owner. I tried to ask if they sold cedar spills as I was checking out. I just didn't know what they were called (being new to the hobby) and so instead of trying to understand my description, he called out to some regulars and they all mocked me as as I walked out after having bought 5 or more cigars. So I took my business elsewhere.

Churchill's across from Miramar is nice.

Yeah they rubbed me wrong a couple of times too like selling 1.99oz lane pipe tobacco as house blend for 6.00. And some rude comments but I was never publicly shamed, can't say I blame you for movin on. I probably would have dropped a few MF's at him on the way out!

SS has been a " go to" for more than a decade...yeah...it has the appearance of a greasy spoon but I think they may put crack in it as I'm addicted. El INdio is great. Las Cuatro Milpas is amazing....Robertos is good and if you're down by the track....Tony Jacals which has been there forever.....mmmmm....hungry for Mexican food now!!!

El Portal is a good place....I've eaten the ass end out of that place as well...so many good restaurants there that I miss em...esp. In and Out.

There is still an original Alberto on El Cajon Blvd by that wierd poker casino and the water tower, best California burrito ever! And casa de pico in grossmont center (used to be in old Town) best Chile Verde! Yeah at least San Diego is good for something!
