HARTFORD — An 18-year-old Northfield woman allegedly driving 104 mph on Interstate 89 told police she was unaware they were trying to stop her because she was talking on her cell phone, state police said.
Police said Jessica M. Touchette was cited on charges of careless and negligent operation and attempting to elude.
Police said they pursued her 2004 Buick Century for about 3½ miles, with lights and sirens on, at speeds of up tp 120 mph before she stopped.
