H. Upmann Half Coronas are a great little cigar.
My first choice would be to find someone to split a cab of PLPC. One of my favorite smokes, especially with some age on them.

Spend a couple more dollars, literally $3-$4 and buy some Montecristo Medio Coronas. They are priced right in so many places now. They used to run $150 and didn’t seem worth the extra from HUHC but now their <$10 apart, buy them. That or I saw BCJ for a bit less. It’s been awhile since they were in that range.

I would second all of these. The two RyJ after a couple of months rest are absolute perfection! I have some resting right now!

I smoked a Short Churchill, after 3 months in my humidor at 65%, when we brought my son home after he was born. Perfect Cigar! Not kidding!

I've been thinking way too hard on this.. more than I should tbh.. .. so I decided to increase my budget to about $160.. at this range a plethora of options opens up for me:

1) Monte 5 (Box of 25)

2) Partagas Serie P no 2 (Box of 10) AND
RYJ Short Churchill (Box of 10)

3). Two boxes of RYJ Short Churchill

4) Two Boxes of Serie P no 2

5) Monte 4 (Box of 15) and Monte 5 (Box of 10)


All of which will be new for me.. Put me out of my misery! What option would you choose ? Or am I missing something else?

This is a great option. Those RyJ SCHs are fantastic!

Only other things I might recommend are the Ramon Allones Short Club Corona (RASCC) and the HUHC (H Upmann Half Corona) as someone else has mentioned.

I would go with option 2, because variety. That said, for $160 you could probably put together a nice little sampler for yourself if your vendor sells singles

I went with option 2.. Box of RYJ short churchill ($72) and Box of PSPno2 ($85) for $157 total.
