Well I fired up my first bowl this evening. Overall it was an okay experience...not bad but not great. I defiantly need to work on the "Frank method" of packing, I think I was being a little too gentle and didn't pack it firm enough. The draw seemed really loose and I was not able to keep it lit for very long. When I did get some good puffs I did enjoy the flavors. I am already looking forward to buying some different tobaccos to sample :grin:

well keep with it. first if you don't like the draw at the very first, undo it and repack before you light it. personally the way i smoke i like it tighter at first and it loosens up for me as i get down the bowl YRMV. second how moist was your tobacco? if it was to moist it wont stay lit, so you might want to try drying a little bit then smoking that. keep trying and keep puffing.
