History Ybor City still rolling cigars during tobacco shortage

The small rollers in Ybor, from my experience, have the tendency to refer to their products as Cuban cigars. I've asked them directly if they mean Cuban Tobacco cigars? We use Cuban Seed tobacco, our rollers are trained in Cuba, we roll Cuban style (not really) and they taste like Cuban cigars. 90 % of the people that go in those shops have no idea but get excited about the term "Cuban". The reporter probably fell into this category.

every NC cigar maker of any size has several years' worth of tobacco stockpiled.
Cuba had 2 bad years,but they are through that now.
The article mentioned POTENTIAL shortage,and none of the big leaf producers have had less than excellent weather for many years.
bullshit article. as usual,no one wants the facts to get in the way of a pointless,irresponsible, piece of crap news story.
