  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Homebrewers, I need help.

This is the kit I started out with several years ago: http://www.midwestsupplies.com/products/ProdBySubCat.aspx?SubCat=510&fd=1

I found a local beer/wine supply shop locally a couple years ago and upgraded to two glass carboys and the copper wort chiller. The guy who owns the supply shop has even started his own brewery: http://www.osobrewing.com/Our Beer.php

I would start out with a brown ale kit as I believe brown ale is the easiest and most forgiving style of beer. Also, find a local shop if possible and befriend the owner or people who work there as they can a valuable wealth of knowledge for any questions you have.

There is no better feeling in the world than taking that first sip of beer you've just brewed.

Lastly, anybody who lives in WI and can get Central Waters beer, their once a year release Bourbon Barrel Stout should be out by the end of December. If you haven't tried it, it is probably in my top 3 beers of all time.
