HOT BACCY!!

Quick question for all you pipers out there. I'm not very versed in the art of pipes, but would really like to leave my pipe and some baccy in my care to smoke too and from work, HOWEVER!, I'm in Dallas and the internal car temps can quickly go over 110 degrees and my car stays in the sun for a good 10-12 hours a day.

Will this have any adverse affects on the tobacco or the pipe?

It'll dry it out.

I pack either an empty tin or sometimes a NUB tubo with my baccy. Stays good for several days.

Ziploc bags last a day or two.

But, never noticed any ill effects other than that, load my pipe up as I leave work almost every day.

If you leave it in the car you're asking for trouble. The baccy will sweat with the heat and humidity and become more moist. Stuff your bowl with this and you will have tongue bite. Flame plus moisture equals steam=tongue bite. Keep you baccy at your desk if indoors.

My pipes have been ok out of the sun of course. Where I live our dew points have been in the 70s while temps in the 90s. I accidentally left a ziploc of OJK in there the other day and there was actual water inside the sealed bag lol

Haha. Dang. Yeah, it's been 95-100 here in Dallas the last few days. I'm surprised my dashboard hasn't melted yet.

I accidentally left a illusione rothschilde in my car for 3 days lol. it smoked good surprisingly. July seems like it's gonna suck for us

I've left cigars in my truck in a herf a dor because I forgot to bring it in or already have too much to carry in with me already. Then again NY weather is never consistent to the seasons...ever. And I keep the cigarillos in my truck. Luckily, no issues with smoking from the herf a dor or the cigarillos.

The Falcon Pipe is great for traveling. Get a couple bowls and you can smoke all day anywhere.

I've seen CDs turn into shrinky dinks during the summer. 140+ cabin temps, nothing to screw with.

As has been mentioned several times, just bring the stuff inside if you can. Otherwise make cobs your commuting pipes.
