Landline for local folks as is in a different area code than my cell phone. If home emergency 911 will get your address automatically, a cell may or may not get triangulation or exact location at this time.

Cell for family, friends, and BOTL. Sometimes for business and is being used more and more that way too.

I have children so a land line is a must. I wouldn't trust voip or digital phone service because they don't offer a true 911 service.

We all just got new phones today.

I got the Blackberry Curve, My daughters both got sidekicks.

I bought unlimited texting and unlimited internet as well. If it wasnt for the fax machine, I would not have a land line phone.

Our VOIP is through TimeWarner and they are hooked into the local 911. At first their service sucked but it has gotten better over the past six months to where the quality is as good as the landline was.

We have a landline, but we don't use it for telephone....shoot, I don't even know the number! We just have it for DSL and FAX purposes only.

We do all our voice communication via cell phone.

A few days before my new land line was activated I registered the number on the Do Not Call list. We haven't had any telemarker problems ... yet.
Good. It can take a while to filter through, though.
Here's the website in case anybody else wants it:
http://www.donotcall.gov
And some more info:
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm

Just remember this only applies to telemarketers. Charities, surveys, and political organizations are exempt and can still call you.
