Gents,
Some years back there were several mom and pop sized cigar manufactrurers in the Houston area. The only one I can remember by name was Texan Cigar Co. on Gulf Freeway @ Loop 610 but on stopping by there recently have found they are gone. Supposedly there was another roller down in the League City area but I don't know his name. Can anyone on the forum point me towards an area shop which still rolls cigars?

Regards,
Dub

Thanks Eric, I didn't fare as well as you did when Googling. Anyone have any info on the shop down in the League City area?
Thanks again,
Dub

Thanks once again Eric, El Cubano is probably the place i had heard of. You certainly are the master internet search technician!!!!!
I will however have to respectfully disagree on the best cigar shop in Houston area. I'd have to vote for the Smoke Ring down in Sugarland operated by Jerry & Marcus. But then again I live down in the Sugarland area ;-) Thanks again gents!

Tight ash,

It's pretty small from what I remember. I heard the Smoke Ring(?) down in Webster is better.

Cigar Vault in Uptown is nice for a change of pace and can usually score the seasonal Fuentes with no problem.

Briar Shoppe in Rice/West U. is the most expensive shop and the worst goes to Westbury Square.

As a heads up, Westbury is gone courtesy of hurricane Ike. When I dialed their phone number a few weeks back they answered with a shop name which escapes me now and informed me they were in the Westheimer corrider????
Thanks again for all the help guys.

I didn't know that though it doesn't suprise me that it didn't survive. From what I've read Westbury Square used to be the hangout spot back before my time. According to their website, they took over Stogie's on Westheimer before the hurricane hit.

I forgot to add in my post above that Woodlands Cigars is another shop I will never set foot in again.
