How Far Down Do You Smoke

How far down do you smoke your cigar?

As for me, I do my best to nub unless the flavor deteriorates to the point of yuck.

I voted "just to the band", however I usually don't even smoke quite that far. I find that even with good purging that a cigar usually gets bitter, hot, and also forms quite a bit of buildup by the time I hit the 2/3 mark or so. I will nub if these qualities don't present themselves...otherwise it's usually 2/3. I'm particularly sensitive to bitter and tannic flavors.

i usually smoke to the band, maybe a little into the coverage of the band (i remove the band of course)

If it is one of those super special smokes or there is some really good conversation around i will smoke farther

I use to try and nub everthing, but I've realized I don't have to toture myself.

Same here, the cigar gets too hot and bitter when you smoke it that far down. I quit around 2" to 1".

I smoke'um till the nub...Sometimes I dont remove the band...Thats when you get the good flavors! The Gurkha bands are the best

depending on the time I have, mostly to 1/4 or less, if it is cold or a fast smoke, 1/2 or to the band.......

Not really enough choices. Usually an inch but it depends on the cigar. I have put cigar butts in my pipe to finish them they were so good.

I voted 1/2 inch, but it's probably more like just under an inch. When I have trouble holding onto it and I can't get more than one puff before it gets way too hot, I get rid of it. That probably covers 90% of my smokes.

I went 1/2 inch. Almost always go well inside the band, but usually stop it at about 1 inch.

Can not answer with those answers. I smoke the stick till it turns south or I grow tired of smoking it. Could be to the nub or half way through.
