Have around 250. I have pretty much maxed out my current storage so I haven't been buying that much lately. I am debating on building something bigger, sort of a built in-type thing, or converting a wine fridge.

I've got way too many (+/-2500) for current consumption (about 450/year), but I consider it a hobby and tax hedge. We all know that tobacco is vulnerable prey for the tax gods and they will be swooping down to bite off a piece of that OpusX.

I'm fortunate in that I'm not real choosy and like all but a few. So I watch for specials and overstocks and buy a box at least every 2 weeks. Of course I have my favorites and make sure there are plenty DP blends on the shelf.

So for me the answer to the OP question would be "Too many could only be more than you can afford". Any less and you don't have enough.

I have a 106 qt. tub and (2) 48 qt coolers slammed full. So, I guess you could say that I have 202 qts. of cigars. As for how many sticks that is, I don't know. 1500 maybe?

I have somewhere around 150 on-hand right now. I generally keep 200 or so, and my stash gets depleted every time I put out to sea. I have a decent 150ct desktop humi and a smaller 40ct humi.

I know it's nothing compared to you gents with your 2000+ collections, but it suits me, and I'm good about sticking to a strict cigar budget. I keep about 30-40 FINE cigars, and the rest are daily smokes (El Mejor, 5 Vegas, sticks in the $1.5-$3 price range).

IF I pick up E-7 this year I plan on at least doubling my collection

If they stopped growing tobacco tomorrow, I have enough to last the rest of my life plus enough to supply a few of you too. Too many to count!

There's never too many. There's only "enough for now."
I've grown out of two humidors since I started smoking and have since grown out of my wineador. Do I have enough cigars to smoke for a few years...sure...but I like handing out cigars to friends and family that visit, bombing those that are distant, etc.
So there's always ways to make more space to fit new cigars and quell the hunger...at least till the next joe's jam or new release.

I just packed my travel humis (18 and 5 count) at the same time had to rearrange for my box of RP ITC that just came in. Kept finding more and more I wanted to take on my trip. I guess I need more travel humis. I am stuffed to the gills now. Have to smoke em down or sell them off.

I JUST got into this a month or so ago, and I'm not a rich kid, so I have about 30 sticks in a 50ct. Humidor.
