That is a badass cabinet.

How does the seal work? Are the spanish cedar liners in the doors butted up against the interior liner?

Nice job, I like the sliding shelves.

Im tempted to go find something like that at one of the naked furniture shops, then put a liner in.

maxnmisty!!!! Now THAT"S what I'm talkin' about! I absolutely love your cabinet, bro. Love it. I think that sucker would hold my whole collection too :) I'd really like one someday, but it won't be until post-Military.

Looks like we have very similar tastes in cigars, too. I'll have to keep that in mind (or I may have to kill you for that Tat Black jar, lol).

the seal is just weather stripping and works wonderful
and yes the spanish cedar in the door butts up against the cedar inside

Thank you all for your comments.

Looking at all these well stocked humidors I gotta admit I'm a little hesitant to share my meager set up. But in the hopes that it inspires others out there without such fancy or well stocked humidors to post their set ups also (takes all kinds after all).

My humidor is a vacuum jar that a friend had in his garage. He had a bunch so I got it for free. I had a few extra hydrometers laying around (I use them in my snake cages, not sure how much I paid for them I've had them a while). I got a Drymistat tube a little while back (used to use just a moistened paper towel) which is working out beautifully! All in all I think I have about $10 invested in it. It does the trick quite well.

Like L8A said you have to start somewhere. I started with a 2qt lock and seal tubberware box with 3 sticks and then I hit that slippery slope that I was not warned about and got that igloo which will have some more stock for it soon...
