i fill up my truck and the pump shuts off at $99.00. :hammersma
This reminds me of a time during the winter I was visiting home and needed to borrow my dad's Chevy to get breakfast supplies. He said the tank was empty so he pulled out some cash to hand me. He just kept shelling out bills. I stopped him at $80 with, "Dad, that's plenty. It's just a few groceries."

He laughed and replied, "Son, this is just for gas. Groceries are on your dime today."

Does this mean we won't be seeing any more "I'm outta here" threads in the near future??

Yep. I hate it when my wife continues to drive to work...we only live 4 blocks away. I remember filling the car for $10 in high school...geez.

One of my benefits to living a half a mile from work. Saves on gas and it's something "active" in the morning and afternoon.

My fiancee and I live in the heart of uptown, but both drive OUT of the city to work :( She is likely going to be moving to the uptown branch soon though so that will be half the gas.

Wouldn't you like to know?
Oh man I cringed the other day when I passed $90 for a fill. I having to double swipe the CC when it shuts down. I was lucky and it was only a $97 fill but I don't have some huge gas guzzler truck I only drive a car. But $1.39/L can kill you.

I change cards. Double swiping has got a couple of cards on fraud alert.

Right $5 would last a few days... and i was driving everywhere in my T-bird
Yeah, but how much were you constantly shelling out for condoms due to all those chicks digging your car? :hysterica

EDIT: Never mind, you don't wear condoms when you're driving a T-bird. Bareback FTW!

2500 miles last week. I'd say 600 of those were at about 6.8MPG. The rest were around 14MPG. I guess it would suck if I actually had to pay for my fuel.
