  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I need a new ashtray. What's a good one?

Had a nice Xikar that had 3 fingers to a side (for cigars at different stages of ritual sacrifice). Liked it quite a bit. But it was ceramic and a 110-pound yellow lab's tail is a lethal weapon.

What's good? Saw those stinkys ... I'm thinking stainless steel might hold up to the dreaded T.D. Tail Attack ...

i like those stinkys for a knock around, don't have one, but i'm considering it as well!

i like ebay for most of my purchases. my wife found and bought be a converted streetlight ashtray. it's the old glass amber lens with four notches cut out of the edges. thing is badass!

i was using the big tatuaje ashtray until i was hit by the mad bombers with a stinky. i thought it might be too big, but it is great. easy to clean and doesn't seem to hold that old stogie smell that i KNOW our wives all love so much!

Here and I thought my unbridled misogyny was why I was still single. Who knew?

Anyway, no threadjack whatsoever - that ashtray's awesome!

The ashtray would sit on my bar (which is right by the back door) and go outside with me (hopefully I'd remember to bring it in - another good thing about stainless steel - it doesn't care if it gets snowed-on) ... so maybe the Stinky is the thing.

Which was also to say, I don't need a really fancy ashtray that has to match some home decor. Besides, if the cigar's out in my house it means the people there don't care about my cigars inside, so they can bugger off if the looks of my ashtray offends them.

I use the old lady's flower pots on the deck....kinda gets me in trouble some times.

Although credit to her she hooked me up with a nice ash tray from the Albert pub in London that a friend brought back for her years ago, we treat it like fine china, although it gets used heavy. I will have to dig up a pic when I empty it.

Wknd.

I use one that we got from a Dave & Busters. I have been checking out prices on a stinky & I hear great things about them.
