Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
That's hilarious - I grew up smoking those things when I actually lived in Jamaica.I smoked cigars for over 25 years, so long that Royal Jamaicans were still made in Jamaica. In the past 9 months I've really come to enjoy pipes just as much especially if I don't have an hour to smoke - which is usually the case. I still love my cigars but pipes are now an equal part of my smoking hobby.
I agree 100%!!I enjoy pipes, but I'm still a cigar guy.
I'd rather have a cigar than a pipe in almost every situation. That said, pipes are more fun to shop for.

Royal Jamaica Corona... My favorite cigar for years...before I switched to Arturo Fuente. I started in 1991. I really miss that company, but my tastes have changed to full strength cigars(mainly Nicaraguan), so I wonder if I would still like Royal Jamaica cigars.I smoked cigars for over 25 years, so long that Royal Jamaicans were still made in Jamaica. The majority of my pipes are one hour plus...the same as a robusto cigar. This is a big reason why I am leaning toward the pipes as well. 30 - 45 minutes for a full bowl is awesome. If I need to smoke it in 3 shifts, so be it (this came in handy during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and now it will come in handy during the finals as well! Go HAWKS!)
Practice makes perfect. If you like the flavor & aroma of pipes...keep at it until you're comfortable.I really tried to become a piper. I bought nice tobacco. I bought seven or eight pipes. I watched videos on packing and lighting and cleaning and whatnot. I just can't get into it.
Pipes are a thing of class. They require more patience, more skill, more preparation, and more care. Things I lack, apparently!
I pretty much know I wouldn't.Royal Jamaica Corona... My favorite cigar for years...before I switched to Arturo Fuente. I started in 1991. I really miss that company, but my tastes have changed to full strength cigars(mainly Nicaraguan), so I wonder if I would still like Royal Jamaica cigars.
I find more relaxation in smoking a pipe over a cigar. Although, I love my cigars and would never give them up. They'll just have some age behind them, that's all.Smoked my first pipe in a couple of years. Just got caught up in life, rediscovered cigars so the pipes sort of sat unused for a while. I have around 30 that I smoke and years worth of aged tobacco. Going to have to smoke the pipes more often as I so enjoy them.
