I think if you were to get some Dickel White Corn Whiskey or some other white whiskey, you could do a better aging stint. But you need sacrificial barrels to refill what's lost to the "Angel's Share" in the remaining barrels. If you take any distillery tour they'll cover that when they walk you through the rack house.

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
I want to age some bourbon and tequila! Any advice?

http://www.deepsouthbarrels.com sells several different size barrels and flavorings too. My brother aged some Tom Sims (Specs brand, I think) crappy bourbon for a few months on his porch in the Texas heat and it tastes much better. It is woodier and a little smoother.
