  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

If you could smoke in your home..

Would you?

I mean to say...if you were not impeded by the usual suspects in whatever situation you're in (wife, kids, neighbors, landlord, etc..) and you could freely smoke in your home while relaxing in your favorite recliner, would you?

Or would you still not smoke in your home for fear of the impending longstanding odor and whatever side effects that comes with?

I would smoke in a dedicated room only. I don't want the whole house smelling like cigars.

Kinda like above. I am not allowed with the child and wife saying no way. Even if I could with a deticated room it would be rarely if ever due to stale odor that is foul. I would smoke more inside during winter and maybe never during summer.

In a perfect world I'd have the money to install the ultimate ventilation and set up a lounge in my home. Of course, that's in a perfect world, and I don't live in that world.

Or better yet, it'd be nice to build an out building and have that be a dedicated lounge!

When I win the lottery, I will have a man-cave. A separate building from the house just for entertaining and guy-stuff. Fully ventilated with all the fixins ... big screen plasma with surround sound, humidor room, pool table, darts, full bar, sleeper couches, hooters waitresses ....

I smoke in my house, not so much in summer and mainly in my office, but I do smoke in the house every day.
I might install a venting system in my house one day, but I gotta find a nice unit.
I am sure it would be different if we had kids, but Jillian is great about it, she understands how happy it makes me.
I love that girl.

in summertime I am in my workshop all the time anyway, so no big deal, but right now it's pouring, the hell I am going outside right now

I'd only smoke in my house with a sweet ventilation system in a secluded room, just like WhiteLightning. That smell would bother me all the darn time otherwise.

I do smoke in my home, not as much in the winter as the summer. I do have a decent air filtration system which helps out, but it can't handle cigar smoke that well. I do plan on a smoking room when I build my house in the next couple of years. I will have to call Wade to build my wallidor.

When I first joined the USAF when I was 19 I had a dorm room that I could smoke in. I did......once. The stale smoke scent got me to never to it again. Now if I had a room in a house with real good ventilation and almost no fabrics I'd consider it. Other than that I'll have a deck with one of those pimptastic propane umbrella heaters those things rock.

I'm gonna go with the masses. I will smoke only in a dedicated room.

My eventual aim is to have a very plush, very expensive dedicated room that will hold very comfy chairs, a very large plasma tv, a very nice sound system and very, very nice cigars.

:)
