  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm so glad March is almost over!

I am presently enjoying a weeks vacation back home in Wisconsin. However this month has royally sucked balls. My wife had major surgery 2 weeks ago, apparently a 10 cm cyst on her ovary. What a week that wound up being. But she is recovered and getting ready to go back to clinicals. But the second big kicker of my month was last weds, On my way to work I rear ended a guy and completely destroyed the front end of my car. Yes everyone was fine, but my baby is going to need some work. So two days before we are set to go on vacation we are now running around and trying to get the insurance claim started, get towing lined up and pick a body shop, not to mention now having to get a rental vehicle. So it worked out ok and my Tribeca is being worked on now, we got a nice 2013 for expedition for our 16 hour drive from coastal Connecticut to eastern Wisconsin. Yeah that drive sucks, and so now its half way through our vacation and I'm still trying to find some good quality cigar time to kick back and enjoy a couple of the cigars I brought with me. So yeah Thank god this month is over, I hope April is better I'm looking forward to warm weather and getting my Gazebo set up for the summer.

Thanks for sticking with me through my little rant, thanks my brothers!

Same thing happened to my wife last year, we were getting ready to do a drive from Southern California to Eastern Washington. 4 days before we were ready to leave some dude plows into her, rearend her Honda CRV, now we scramble to find a rental and make sure they are okay with it going 2 states away. We ended up in a brand new Dodge Drango and make the trip even better to drive, I was not looking forward to the 22 hour drive in her little CRV. haha

Glad it all worked out and I'll send you sunny California rays your way.

Pleased to hear your wife is on the mend.

One if the good things about the UK is it only takes 10 hours to drive the length of the country, so I can't imagine how bad a 16 hour road trip must be!

Roll on April!

Yeah, the drive was a little easier having a bigger sub, however that expedition has a big 5.4L V8 in it. So we averaged around 16 mpg. A lot of gas for an 1100 mile trip one way, we still have to drive home and drive it locally for 2 weeks.
