Going with this I know I would need beads. How many would you estimate and how do you season something of this size?

From Heatfelt site: 1 pound will humidify up to 5 cubic feet of space.

You can use more Hearfelt Beads in your humidor than the minumum amount recommended. The additional Heartfelt Beads will give you more moisture storage and help the humidor recover quicker when it has been opened. The extra Heartfelt Beads will also help compensate for seasonal changes and a less than perfect seal on your humidor.


Plate of water for a couple days should work. A good hygro will tell you when it's ready.

how much are you looking at spending, $150, it seems? For me, those you've shown would be too small. I just picked up another new Avanti (as I need temp control) for $150 and it holds more than those.

I don't know about him, but for me I can't rock a winefridge in the house. It won't work with the house. My wife is awesome, but it has to work with the flow of the house. The lauderdale would work with the furniture. The locker could go in the hall closet. I dont think a vino in a closet would work. The guys I know with vinos they always look out of place.
