  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I attended a Tat event last night at a local B&M and in talking with Pete, he filled me in on the details of a Monster spin off in stores early next year. He is going to call it the Boris based on the actor that played Frankenstein. He went on to tell me that he will use the same blend but might change the size. He went on to say it might just be the same size as the Frank but rounded. It will go to 33 retailers with the lucky 13 from the Frank lottery guaranteed to receive it. We talked about the Drac as well and he gave me some details on it. I can't wait! It will be a torpedo, I think we had already established that, but it will be banded in black with red type. The band will be on the foot of the stogie however and it will be packaged upside down; as Dracula slept that way, in a more polished lacquered black coffin. Lots more discussed, he mentioned the Ambos Mundos will be coming out early next year as well and due to rollers not being able to work backwards will feature a triple cap instead of the flag ended prototype, it will be released in bundles to keep cost down for us. Anyway, just thought I would share some with you guys, I could have completely beaten him down for an hour plus, but tried to have some restraint, so I gave way to some other folks that wanted to know which cigars were his etc.. Kind of painful, but Pete is a great guy and explained with the same excitement that he had in talking about the above mentioned info.

I had heard about the Boris but the rest is all new to me. Thanks for sharing. I hope to be able to meet Pete some day. He hasn't made it to the Raleigh, NC area yet that I know of....

LOl.. IM not talking about the Ambos Mundos... Im talking about Boris.. lol. Ambos Mundo are still not done yet... But they will be good!

And when it comes to cigars, Pete is just like a guy that is passionate about his comic book or baseball card collection. Cigars are his life and that is a great thing!

:headroll: I know, but me point was that the Ambos Mundos will be released before, right? So, by wishing for Oct. too soon, ye forgot there are others ye're surely going to buy.

Jeez another limited run tat ?
I feel your pain bro...but you have to remember that Tatuaje is a boutique cigar, not one of the giants with unlimited supply of material.

I'm happy with being able to smoke some of his limited stuff ( Oscuro Noella, Maravilla & the El Cohete) and they were way worth smoking. If the company never chose to release something because they can't produce enough as a regular release, I would have never had the chance to smoke it at all.

Screw whatever the popular opinion is on limited releases, I'm all for it and hope to get the chance to try it.

Yep...as between not putting something out or putting a lower-quality product out so that it can be mass-produced, I think the choice is clear.

I've not met Pete, so I won't try to quote him too closely, but I believe he has remarked on a couple of occasions that he is not about to "put out shit."
