BoM x 2, BoY 2011
like the reserva noella! mmmmmm. that was a masterpiece!
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
The who, what & how? I learned of Tat's (and BOTL.org) too late for these I guess. That's why the limited release are tough. If you don't know, or know too late...it just too late!I'm happy with being able to smoke some of his limited stuff ( Oscuro Noella, Maravilla & the El Cohete) and they were way worth smoking.
Screw whatever the popular opinion is on limited releases, I'm all for it and hope to get the chance to try it.
One more chance should you hit the lottery tonight.....He will be at the Up in Smoke Lincoln Center tomorrow from 4p-8p. Don't have an address, it's across the street from North Park Mall on the south side. I broke down and caught up with him tonight at the Uptown event. Had to get my Frank boxed signed and split a box of La Riqueza #2's with a buddy. I feel your pain, but you get into a trance with all of the kick ass product this guy puts out....and then there's the Black Label that is your gift with purchase along with a hat, cutter, patch and Tat pin. Already had the hat, cutter etc...so I came out with the Black's......I win!Man I wish I had some money right now (but I'm flatassed broke) since Pete's actually in town again. I've bought cigars from his events the last two times he's been here, but I just couldn't pull it off right now. It's a damn shame. :frownno:
Yeah, I've actually gotten 3 of those black 3-packs so far (from buying 3 boxes) and I already have the hat/cutter/swag. Like I said, I've met up with him several times now. I just can't afford to buy anything right now tho, not with Christmas coming up.One more chance should you hit the lottery tonight.....He will be at the Up in Smoke Lincoln Center tomorrow from 4p-8p. He made a few sizes that were exclusively for specific retailers......Thanks for the news. I can't wait. I am especially happy about the part that the 13 lottery winners for the Frank are guaranteed to get these. Never heard of the El Cohete either, beginning research immediately.
* Bombazos (4" x 46) were produced for Fumare Cigar in Reno, Nevada. It is a strong, spicy blend.
* El Cohete (4" x 50) was produced for Tower Cigars. It was packed in cabinets of 25, each numbered, dated and signed by Pete Johnson. There were only 50 such cabinets available. It was made in Pepin Garcia's Miami factory.
* La Maravilla (5 5/8" x 46) was produced for Leaf and Ale. The wrapper is an aged viso wrapper, with the wrapper covering the foot of the cigar, similar to the Gran Cojonu. The cigars are packed in foil, which is part of a unique fermentation process that is used on the cigars: they are rolled, then wrapped in foil to seal in the flavors, and aged in that form, similar to how some Cuban cigars are aged wrapped in burlap.
