  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

The japanese version was way better and Bobby Flay is a cheat I remember when he was going to quit the food channell if they didn't tell him the secret ingredient for his rematch with Morymoto.

My friends wife works for the food network and she told her husband that after Flay lost the original battle between himself and Iron Chef Morimoto which was held in Japan, he demanded a rematch in the states and threatened to quit if he wasn't told what the secret ingredient would be. The first battle Flay cut himself and was clearly outmatched in the original kitchen stadium but if you watched the rematch Flay even had his own "special ingredient" that just happened to go perfectly with lobster.

That's very interesting. I like the show but Flay has never been my cup of tea.

I didn't like it at first but grew to be a fan. Iron Chef America doesn't seem to be as interesting as the Japanese version. It's interesting to watch the Japanese become more westernized in their cooking over the course of the series. Not really a big Bobby Flay fan either, but my wife get's her hair done by the same lady that does his mother-in-law. Alton Brown can get on my nerves a bit, and that one fat chic that judges is funny. She always complains about the meat being too tough. lol
