Yes, this was this year's semi-elaborate prank. These things get harder to pull off as the years go by. First, I had to disclose to David and Chuck the plan and they helped spread some bait around Then, I had to make a "holder" listing on ebay a few days in advance so that the auction didn't start on the obvious day and I could change it to identify BOTL in the listing. There were a few other bits that I did to make it more plausible. And I even added in 3 hidden clues - which I will hold a contest for. Now let me share a few funny things from today...



Before returning to lunch today, I had meant to call Chuck to let him know the prank was now live. Instead, I accidently dialed up Todd. As hazily remembered - it went something like this:

{ring}

"This is Todd speaking..." (didn't quite hear his name)

"Uhhhhh.... sorry, I have the wrong number"

"Hey Eric, what's up?" (oh shit!)

{silence - contemplate - hang up}

I felt like a real dumbass and guilty for hanging up on him, so I called back basically telling Todd what I was going to tell Chuck. LOL sorry bro!

I was really tempted, but I am 100% possitive feedback, and had this been real, I didn't want to lose that. or have Dave and Eris try to hold me to it.
