  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Is it me...?

or is the last inch and a half of a cigar the best? I find if I like it enough to get down that far the cigar just blooms into into something spectactular!!! Just smoked a San Cristobal I liked it from the start, but that last inch and a half was just wonderful!!! It is a cross between a Tatuaje and a Pepin Black(cuban clasic) That is just wonderful. Is it a Pepin? CI says that it is in their description. These are really good!!

Wouldn't you like to know?
I have had bad luck with the San Christobals. They start of great then at the halfway point they have all turned and gone down hill in a hurry. I still smoke them cuz I really enjoy the first half but have never made it to the last half inch on one.

Sloooowwwwww down then. Cigars smoked properly, slowly will taste MUCH better than ones you burn through. However, once you've deystroyed your palate, then you can just hot box the crap outta them and they still taste good! :cbig:

I agree the person who showed me how to light and smoke made this point and it has served well. Even my re-lights still taste good after slowly smoking. Then there is the whole issue of inhaling doing that completely ruins it for me!!! After I mastered the process of holding the smoke in my mouth and breathing fresh air into my lungs through my nose, flavors started to explode!! Also I can smell the wrapper burning and that's why the last inch and a half tastes so good to me becaust I have two senses working during that time.

Ditto. I learned (here of course) that if you take your time with the smoke it is much more enjoyable. I still have a hard time with it. While patience is a virtue, it has not always been a habit for me. Listen to the brothers here, they won't steer you wrong!
