so it is my first real night at my new condo so i decided to celebrate and sit on my deck and smoke a WOAM... pretty good, i like em... it is my first non cuban in a long time... but none-the-less i am enjoying it.......

to top it off i am smoking right now while on one of my neighbors wireless internet outlets.....

you gotta love wireless... my condos have at least 8 open networks at any given time it is great...

and now my puppy is sound asleep at my feet... ah it has been a good day.....

If you do not have the WEP enabled then yes.

WEP is worthless and is easily hacked. If you want encryption use WPA(I think that is the one). Since I don't really have neighbors close enough to worry about I just have it setup to only allow the MAC Addresses of my computers to connect to it.

Turn off SID broadcasting.
At the bare minimum turn on some sort of WEP/WPA
Change the default name of your access point
Change the default password for the admin account on the router
Turn on MAC address filtering so only your computer is allowed to connect.
No network is completely secure, but this is a pretty good deterrent to the casual hacker.

i was just using thier wireless until Comcast could come out and install my cable modem, which was today..... so its all good now.. its actually faster...
