  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Is this a legit x-tend???

so, after Todd's herf I realized how bad I wanted an x-tend. I found this one on ebay and wondering if it is real or not.

I read the primer about fake lighters, especially high-end ones, on e-bay and didn;t want to get ripped off. I checked the web-site and I couldn;t find one that looked like this.

just wondering if anyone knew where to point me for more info??

thanks fellas

It looks legit and his positive comments speak to it as well.

To be honest, Mark sells them at 137 plus shipping so 144.65, you would save roughly 18 bucks.

I know which way I would go.

I wouldn't spend that type of money on ebay when you know you can get a legit one for just $20 more. Its not like they are a rare lighter. My advice would be to buy from Cigarmony.

I've never seen that pattern before.
Great point here which I totally missed. I thought it was just a black gloss. From what I know about X-tends, they make a matte black and a gloss black. Nothing with stripes.

The only place I could find that design was on a Chinese website. I guess we know what that means.

I wouldn't chance it either. Your best bet would be to go with Mark at cigarmony. With him you hane no worries and he's a BOTL, so you'd be supporting the cause :)

By the way, if you read this, Mark, I still plan on getting that exotic wood cutter from you, it's just that my funds have been a little low :(

Yeah, yeah...:jitb:

I looked in the 2007 ST Dupont Catalog and don't see that model available.

It may be a new model that's not in the catalog, so I would email them and ask what the ST Dupont model number is and I can verify it with ST Dupont for you if you like.

Be aware that ST Dupont only warranties lighter purchased from authorize ST Dupont retailers.

Additionally, they are increasing their pricing July 1st (again).

Hope this helps!

Got hooked on the Xtends, eh?
I almost bought one after the Herf at Todd's house, but this super-hot Colibri rep was in the store and I ended up getting a brand-spankin-new carbon fiber Colibri (they had to special order it, it's not here yet). Goes well with my carbon fiber Palio and Griffin's CF cigar case. And she was fucking gorgeous.

To be honest, saving a buck or two isn't really going to help you out when you have to question the validity of a product. It really does pay to shop with a known vendor, regardless of what you are buying.

Smart money is on a reliable shop with a way to get in touch with some sort of CS if you ever have a problem.
