Just got a box of Monti #2's from a good source but since I'm a noob not sure if this is normal. It's kind of a green brown color that looks almost like mud. No texture to it and I can't brush any of it off. What's your thoughts?

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Is this normal?

I have a few sticks with that same coloration. Natural products will have variations in color from time to time. Unless of course they dye them.
Either water, or just something a bit different discoloration in the leaf. Nothing to worry about as long as they aren't spreading.

As said, water spots, don't worry about it, if it freaks you out too much feel free to send them to me and I will dispose of them properly for you, no charge.
Another vote for water spots. A minor fermentation issue which is negligible, and relatively common with habanos in general. Smoke them and enjoy.

Sometimes cuban tobacco will develope greenish patches as the sticks age,this is just refermenting of the tobacco.
Your spots may be incomplete initial fermentation,it should go away.

Totally normal. The leaf just wasn't completely fermented.
