Considering the amount of top shelf beer drinkers here with the knowledge of the "right" stores I figured I'd try my luck. My first and last Prize Old Ale was purchased in Maryland it was a 1995 vintage I believe. I am looking for any vintage really but am extremely interested in some in the 2000s. I think 2005 was the last year it was made by George Gale's which then it transferred to Fuller's ownership. In 2007 I believe Fullers put it out in a 500ml bottle with a crown cap. I'd also be interested in trying that. I like drinking the beer but my primary reason is I want to try and see if there's any living yeast or other microorganisms in the bottle that make the beer what it was. I will pay or trade you cigars, or whatever beer I can get for you. I'm trying to develop my own yeast culture for making traditional old ales like they USED to be made before they lost their character due to pure culture techniques and stainless steel tanks for everything.
