Beeing that many here might not be able to know much about ISOMs for obvious reasons I decided to create this thread to post what are, in me humble opinion, the essential cigars from several brands from the Island South of Miami. This list does not tell what I believe are the best of each brand, but more what I believe ye have to try from those brands when starting into the world of ISOMs as they might give ye an idea of what the brand's about as well as beeing a neat point of comparisson for when ye're trying another from the same brand.

Bolivar: Belicosos Finos
Cohiba: Robustos, Esplendidos, Secretos, Siglo VI
Cuaba: Salomones
El Rey del Mundo: Choix Supreme
Fonseca: Cadetes
H. Upmann: Magnum 46, Sir Winston
Hoyo de Monterrey: Doble Corona
Juan Lopez: Selección No. 2
La Gloria Cubana: Medaille d'Or No.2
Montecristo: No.2, No.4
Partagas: Serie D No.4, 8-9-8 varnished, Lusitanias
Por Larranga: Petit Coronas
Punch: Punch Punch
Ramon Allones: Specially Selected
Romeo y Julieta: Churchill
San Cristobal de la Havana: El Príncipe
Saint Luis Rey: Petit Corona, Serie A
Sancho Panza: Non Plus
Trinidad: Fundadores
Vegas Robaina: Famosos

Let me know what ye'd add or remove and if ye find this helpfull we might even ask for it to be a stickie.

I'd add:
Cohiba Secretos
Monte Petite Edmundo
RyJ Short Churchill
Trinidad Colonias

I personally am anxious to try a RASS.
Incredible cigars all of them; though I wasn't sure wether to add them (especially the Trinidad) since they are still young in the brand and not yet their banner. Aw, screw that. Added.

Great list. I would include a few of my personal favorites:
- Trinidad Reyes
- Partagas SP2
- Cohiba Coronas Especiales
- Montecristo Especial #2

Be sure to let me know which ye'd have taken out of the list as essential cigars from each brand as well. If there's one that should.

Thanks Dave - nice play!

Moro, what you'll end up with here is a list of almost every cc there is in every available form...

Because it's all personal prefference, this list will kind of... backfire on it's original intent. Instead of becoming a big list of everyone's favorites, why not refocus on say the critical, flagship,must-try sticks of each brand worthy...

Although my suggestions are favorites, I would have to take back near all of them.
Monte No 2 - critical; Partagas Lucistania - critical; Petite Edmundo & Partagas shorts I think these are not critical.

Here's my input:
Bolivar: Belicosos Fino
Cohiba: Esplendidos, Secretos
Cuaba:?
El Rey del Mundo: Choix Supreme
Fonseca?
H. Upmann: Magnum 46 or petite corona
Hoyo de Monterrey: Double Corona
Juan Lopez: Selección No. 2
La Gloria Cubana:?
Montecristo: No.2, No.4
Partagas: Lusitanias, Serie D No.4 or 8-9-8v?
Por Larranga: Petit Coronas
Punch: Punch Punch
Ramon Allones: Specially Selected
Romeo y Julieta: Churchill, _____?
San Cristobal de la Havana: ?
Saint Luis Rey: ?
Sancho Panza: ?
Trinidad: Fundadores
Vegas Robaina: ?

Exactly what I was thinking. Though I'd add a few to yer list. I'd like to mention at least one cigar from each brand there, not because it's good; but to get an idea of everything Cuba has to offer cigar-wise.

Hehehehehehe, That is one neat wishlist, I must say! Though I wouldn't know on the Cuaba, VR, SLR, SP and Fonsecas...

I haven't tried nearly enough of that list I am coming to realize.

Moro, a good bit better but still not 100%. At least the swelling has gone down. Thanks for asking.

Good. Because if not then how the bloody hell will ye try these which are a few basics??? (And trust me; there's a blood load missing here).

Anyways, back to topic: Ye think this would do for ISOM newbies?

I will leave that to the judgment of those who are much more experienced with ISOM's than I. It looks good to me, but I could easily miss something important. You would know better than I.

Nice list.. I'd say a box of each of those would be a great place for anyone to start learning about ISOMs. :stretchgr

Maybe we could put a star next to the top ten or something for a shorter list of where to start? I think some like PSD4's, Mont#2 etc. would be easy top picks. Great thread by the way.
