  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

it was worth it.

saw this idea and thought it might be interesting to hear from this group. there are always discussions about how expensive some sticks are and how they aren't that good, or at least not worth the price.
so here's the question. what cigar have you smoked that was "expensive", and you thought was REALLY worth the money? i'll leave it to your judgement as to what is expensive to you, but i'm thinking at least $20 + range.
the first thing that came to my mind was a tatuaje 233. which one, or ones, struck you?

I smoked a Fuente Forbidden X Torpeo last night at Casa Fuente in Las Vegas. The price $125.00. The view priceless. An awesome cigar. Would I pay that amount at a local B&M. No. For me it is the cigar, the atmosphere and the company. We had just finished a dinner at Joes Stone Crab with claws and bone-in rib eyes cook to perfection. An espresso and a slice of peanut butter pie, then this awesome cigar with ice cold water. These guys were beginner cigar smokers but enjoyed the Ashton VSG and Don Carlos I picked out for them. The forbidden X was excellent.

i had almost the same experience with a forbidden x lancero. i opted for a mojito as well. all of the parts worked together to make it excellent.

Yup, the milli blew me away. I thought it was much more complex then the regular Ani's.

But then again, I don't care for Opus.. so we probably don't have the same taste :agreesmil

Tat blacks.

Sure, they're only $13 MSRP, but when you add all the time i spent gathering them after i missed out on the jars, well, then they turn into a $40 stick...my time is valuable!!!

Also, paid $20 for an opus chateau de la whatever, the churchill size. Paid too much, but it was so very worth it!!!

Ashton ESG 20 yr salute. Have really enjoyed the 3 that i've smoked and would say they are worth the $17 i paid. of course, i smoke them on special occasions, so that always makes a cigar better...it's a phychological thing i guess.
