  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hello all,

I am going to have a baby boy in a week or two and was looking for some input on a good It's a Boy! cigar. I saw one out there by Arturo Fuente Breva and another by Cusano. Does anyone have any preference on either of these or any other options that I can pick from.

Thanks,

Cousin Jimbo:clap:

It depends on what you are planning on doing with the smokes. if you are giving them out to people that dont know the difference between a good and bad smoke i wouldnt worry to much about taste. but i would go for the Fuente. Aso a thought is to buy a box of something you like now. (Tatuaje, Padron, etc.) smoke one on the day he was born and either save the rest or smoke one on his birthday every year then when he turns 18 you will have one for him as well with 18 years of age on it not a bad first smoke.

Congrats man! Just had my boy about 9 months ago! Feels like yesterday! I went with a couple of the Fuente's for show but really handed out Crystal Cafe Macs the night of the birth. I used these knowing that the hospital would not let you smoke on grounds, so I wanted everyone to be able to hold onto it in the glass tube till when we got home to meet up, relax, and enjoy a good smoke and a nice glass of wine!
It is an awesome experience! Take in every moment! It will go by quick!
Congrats again!

Congrats on being a Father and well wishes to Mom.

I would go for the Fuente to give out if you want. If there is a get together later on, break out the good stuff. The It's a Boy are more show anyhow.

Good advice there. Go cheap on the giveouts and get something nice that yuou can smoke for yourself. Most people you give the cigars to will never smoke them anyway. If they do, the breva is a decent smoke for the money.

Congratulations! I bought a box of King Edward It's a Boy cigars for everyone except my uncle who was actually the only smoker I knew at the time. Roughly $25 for a box of 50.

Congrats bro!
I went with the Arturo Fuente Brevas Royales for both my girls. It just happened to be the only "It's A Girl" cigar my B&M had each time anyway. I smoked one the night each was born and handed out the rest but kept one cigar from each box and I will smoke it at each of their weddings.

Also, I don’t know if I saw it here or someone told me this but who ever it was said he bought 2 boxes. He handed out cigars from one box. The other box he kept for himself, smoked one the day his son was born and would smoke one on each birthday until his son turned 21 at which time he hoped they would share a cigar together and then share the last two when he gets married. I thought that was pretty cool.
