this is one of the homeliest cigars i think i've seen. i'm not a fan of box pressed. this one looks like it was run over by a steam roller. but lfd makes some pretty tasty products, so we'll see what this is like over the weekend.

I think box pressed is a misnomer for these. Those bad boys are put in trays and then they are cranked down upon in a screw press (at least I would be that's what they use) which is what gives them the sharp edges. Notice the "bottom" of the press is more rounded because of how the trays are carved out.

Yes those are factory preessed. And made as stated abouve. RP has one as well that has the sharp edges. Box pressed smokes are pushed into a box that is slightly smaller that the rolled cigars, so they get flat sides, but rounded corners.

Either way I like the box press, your smoke won't roll it you have to set it down.
