This photo was the tipping point for me:

Now planning on doing something similar.

Build list:
PSA lower and LPK
KAK Industry buffer kit
SB15 Brace
BCM 11.5 carbine upper
BCM 10" KMR
BCM BCG
BCM mod4 CH

Optic will either be a Vortex PST 1-4, or Vortex Gen II 1-6 in an ADM mount.
Surefire x300
may add offset irons later, depending on how well I jive with the optic on 1x setting
vtac sling

Nice looking plans. I've got a lower just waiting for the funds to build a nice 10.5 sigbrace pistol build, similar to that.

Got notified that the upper I want came back in stock today. Snagged that, plus a free BCG and CH.
This thing will be done sooner than I expected.

Just missing sights. Gonna scoop up a Viper 1-4 in an ADM mount, and a JP SRTS for offset irons. X300 will serve as my light.

DUDE! I absolutely love this, but I honestly think my favorite part is the tag on the sling. Let us know how it shoots![/QUOTE]

I do love my patches.

Will update with range reports once it gets broken in. Waiting a week or two before forking over the cash for the optics; they're not exactly cheap.

11.5 BCM with 1-4 is bitchin. Ran through a variety of Wolf 55g, PMC 55g, and XM 855 without any problem. I no longer have the data from my old rifle, but, IIRC, this "standard" 11.5 produced better "groups" than my previous chrome-lined 16" middy - at 50 yards. Not sure how impressive that is at that range, but I am pleased.

Next trip, I will take it over to the 300 range and see what happens. There was such heavy fog today that you could barely make out targets at 100 - so I stuck to the 50.

Aren't all BCM barrels chrome lined? I've never heard of a BCM built upper that choked on any type of ammo; enjoy the build. I was just comparing a KMR and NSR rail on my bench, and the NSR is hitting the sale block... the machining is mediocre at best when compared to the BCM.

Now get that A2 flash hider off there, mount your suppressor and then tell us how it runs. :)
