What brought it to my attention was Pete Johnson firing off a tweet saying that he was smoking one last time he was in Europe and that it beat most of the regualr line Cubans he'd had recently. I found that quite interesting...
I bought a bundle of these about a year ago and I really enjoy them. The price is right, the flavor is usually spot on and construction isn't terrible.

just went thru a brevas bundle, and i see how pete compared these to the rest.
09s and even 10s are ready to enjoy.
maybe one or two construction duds with most delivering a solid dose of cuban goodness.

Just got done! Not bad at all. Lots of spicy woody flavors. Not pretty, but a cuban for 2.50, great deal.
I think I'm with ya. Next time I order somethin, I'm tossing a 5X5 pack of these guys in my cart.
OK I confess, I love the JLP La Cremas. Yes they're machine made, and yes every once in a while I get one that's a little soapy or plugged but for $1.40 each I'll just pitch it and light another. Granted I'd rather smoke a BBF but sometimes a 30 minute smoke is exactly what I need.
