Greetings BOTL's thought I would post my walk-in humidor. This unit is kept at 70 degress/70% humidity by a TRION 707 TW hermidifier connected to my homes water supply which is run through a reverse osmosis water purification system for the humidor. The unit is kept at 70 degress by an electric baseboard heater. It was a close call, my wife wanted a wine cellar and of course I was pulling for the humidor....I finally won one!

Greetings Again:

I was asked by AZsteelman for a quick introduction so here goes. This is my first day on this site. I am 43 and live in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. I am a REALTOR and have been married to the lovely and gracious Holly for 14 years. I have two children ages 5 & 6 and just recently got certified as a scuba diver.

My favorite "sticks" are Montecristo #2's for that special smoke and Flor de Olivia Torpedo Maduro's for everyday. They are inexpensive and taste great for everyday work in the yard or just kickin' back by the pool with our neighbors. I am not a big fan of flavored smokes but love Carbonelle cigars. They are made of course from the carbonelle leaf and have a great "sweet" taste that is hard to beat.

So thats in a nutshell. I look forward to chatting with all of you in the future about cigars and other weighty items of the day.

Welcome to BOTL! You've got a very nice walk-in storage humi. And living in the arctic conditions of MN, you probably don't have to worry too much about beetles hatching due to warmer weather. :bouncetau

Welcome aboard!

I am fairly new to the site as well, and enjoying it very much.

Make sure you cover all of those bare walls with Spanish cedar, and try to introduce as little unatural and/or caustic substances (caulking, glue, adhesives, etc.) as possible so as not to ruin the taste of your stogies.

Happy smoking!

Thanks guys for the cudo's. It was a labor of love. The walls are covered with cedar and the humidor smells like heaven. All the aroma's of the cedar and the cigars...Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm. I find myself just walking into it from time to time to just smell the aroma.
