What rub you using?
homemade or commercial?
For the pork:

4tsp paprika
1tbs brwn sugar
1tbs salt
1tsp black pepper
1tsp white pepper
1tsp dry mustard
1tsb garlic powder
1tsp caynne

For the brisket:
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup brwn sugar
1/4 cup paprika
2tbs chili powder
2tbs pepper
1tbs onion powder
1tbs garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano

Both rubs were applied 12 hours befor the meat went on the smoker. In the pix the color you see on the meat is only from the rub, no basting, no sause added.
