  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Just thought I'd let you know...

...that I am on my deck, on a crystal clear, crisp 45 degree Washington night, enjoying a fire in the chiminea, a glass of chilled Clase Azul tequila, and a Bolivar Belicoso Fino, prior to my trip to Austin tomorrow morning.

It's a very nice night.

BBF sounds like a great idea. Just got one in trade from 2005. Been a long time since i've had one.

I smoked a bbf at this new bar in steiner ranch called fion. they have a crapload of beers in stock.

it was bit too breezy for my preference, but it felt nice to not sweat while smoking a cigar.

I have got to get a chimenea or fire pit. It's getting too cold to be outside at night without some heat.

I went on Sunday to one of the casinos around here that has a cigar lounge. 8-10 big plasmas showing NFL games and cocktail waitresses in short skirts. There's a pretty big group of guys up here who get together fairly often to smoke. Smoked one of the Monte 2s to celebrate the win over Tech and the followed it up with a Pepin fresh rolled that was gifted to me.

so, I forgot to tell you guys about my experience in venezuela two weeks ago.

the morning of my cousin's wedding a couple of my cousins and I walked into a liquor store after I spied some cohibas on the window display. they had to summon the "cigar lady" from the back who was to pull them out for me to inspect.

I told her I was interested in some cohiba corona especiales which she didn't have, but she was glad to show me some brand new cohibas she had just received the day before. they were the pyramides. they looked pretty fuckin' good from a distance, but the single band gave them away. I acted interested and asked to see the box.

holy shit. I'm 98% certain it was a legit box. it was the right shape and properly stained. had it not been for the telltale inclusion of the intact warranty seal and habanos chevron neatly preserved inside the box along with the insert and missing factory code I would said these were produced at the factory

I looked at the cohiba robustos she had, and I can say with certainty they were in a legit cohiba box (minus the factory code and the aforementioned warranty seal/chevron combo stashed in the box).

these suckers even had a neat triple cap going, and the bands were carefully applied.

That really sucks the big one. Just imagine how many people they burn daily and how much money they make on selling Fauxhibas.
